A lot of people have had concerns about the Blackstone District: traffic flies, crosswalks aren't spaced realistically to where people actually cross. It's had deadly results.

Mode Shift held a Walk With Us event in December to bring attention to the need for improvements for pedestrian safety.

Now city officials say new designs are coming- both to force traffic to slow down and to give people walking more space.
