11/14: Vision Zero Plan Vote at City Council
November 14, 2023 @ 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
The Omaha City Council will vote on a resolution to adopt the Vision Zero Plan in the City Council meeting on Tuesday November 14. From the public events and information shared by Vision Zero Omaha, it seems like the plan will be good. You should be able to access the City Council meeting agenda and related materials here, once these are posted.
It would be great to have folks speak in support of the plan at City Council (and highlight any gaps/opportunities for improvement). There are multiple options for voicing your support:
- You can just show up in person and speak on an agenda item
- You can speak virtually via Zoom (see instructions below)
- You could submit written testimony in support to the City Clerk at: cityclerk@cityofomaha.org (also feel free to include your Councilmember and/or other Councilmembers)
Speaking virtually at City Council
To speak on an agenda item through Zoom, email the City Clerk at cityclerk@cityofomaha.org with the following information: Name Address Item(s) you wish to speak on Proponent or opponent Registrations must be completed by 4:30 PM on the Monday prior to the meeting date (unless otherwise noted on the agenda).
*A registration is complete once you have submitted the Zoom meeting invite and receive a “Omaha City Council Meeting Confirmation” email. There is no guarantee of your participation via Zoom in the meeting if all of the above information is not finalized by the deadline.
