Attend our Monthly Member Meetings and/or Coffee Chats
We hold our monthly member meetings during the fourth Wednesday of the month, 7:00-8:30 PM at the Pizza Shoppe in Benson. We hold monthly transportation coffee chats on the third Friday of each month, 8:00-9:00 AM at local coffee shops accessible by transit, walking or bicycling. Coffee chats are informal events featuring leaders in the community with various connections to transportation in the Omaha area.

Support Mode Shift during Omaha Gives!
We need your support during this year’s Omaha Gives! on May 25. Omaha Gives! is a 24-hour online giving event organized by the Omaha Community Foundation (OCF) to grow philanthropy in the Douglas, Sarpy, and Pottawattamie counties. Last year, thanks to your generous support, we raised over $10,000 and were able to hire a part-time Program Coordinator to help achieve our mission and more proactively focus on our priorities.
Here are ways you can help this year:

Schedule a donation to Mode Shift Omaha now through May 24 to help us win a participation prize, and/or donate on May 25 to help us win participation and hourly prizes. The minimum donation is $10. Each dollar you give through Omaha Gives! will also be partially matched through OCF and the Mode Shift board and friends.

Send us a message about why you support Mode Shift to add to our Omaha Gives! profile. Please send a comment to info@modeshiftomaha.org by April 30.

Create your own Personal Fundraising Campaign and tell your friends and family why they should support Mode Shift. Go to the Omaha Gives! site and create or login to your account as a donor, go to “My campaigns” tab and click “create a campaign.” Search for Mode Shift Omaha and select it as the organization for your campaign. Fill out the form and then select “submit campaign.” Please set up an account by May 12. If you need help, please email us and also see this guidance from OCF.

Mark your calendar to join us for our Omaha Gives! to Mode Shift Omaha Party on May 25, 4pm to midnight at the Omaha Bicycling Company (6015 Maple St.).

Enabling our rapid responses to Omaha transportation issues such as our recent success defeating the downtown property acquisition deal by Omaha Performing Arts.

Mobilizing our members for action around projects and transportation issues, such as Bus Rapid Transit Planning and Benson Streetscape design.

Organizing monthly Coffee Chats about transportation-related issues and events that support transportation options.

Monitoring and advocating for policy changes that support better and safer biking, walking and transit.
